As we have been enjoying some gorgeous weather these last couple of weeks, it certainly gets you into holiday mode and thinking about what your plans are. We haven’t booked our summer holiday yet but we have got a weekend booked to stay at a camp site in a lovely mobile home. It will be in the height of summer and there will be lots of families there and little ones can easily get lost in the crowds. When you are abroad it can seem even scarier on foreign soil. You do need eyes in the back of your head, if only.
When you think of holidays with little ones then you need to think more carefully about safety issues, especially with wandering tots! Netflights are offering a promotion at the moment to get your hands on a pair of free ID bracelets when taking your children abroad. Putting an ID bracelet on your child means that if someone finds your lost child then they can easily locate you via the contact information on the bracelet. They can be particularly effective with younger children who can’t talk or explain that they are lost.
If your child suffers from a medical condition such as diabetes, asthma or a severe allergy, you may want to write this on your ID bracelet too, or consider purchasing a specific medical bracelet. Medical bracelets are easily identified by the embossed rod of Asclepius (staff and serpent) symbol or a red cross to draw attention that your child my need urgent medical attention should they become incapacitated when they are not with their parent or guardian.
If you want to try out these ID bracelets for your children then you have the opportunity to get your hands on some to try this summer. Starting from the airport or ferry terminal, these bracelets are a great idea for peace of mind should the unthinkable happen and you lose your child.
Netflights.com has 500 reusable ID wristbands to give away. All you need to do is register here or visit their facebook page for details.
