With the beautiful weather that we’ve been enjoying lately, it’s been hard to think ahead to the summer months, where hopefully we’ll all have a little more freedom as to where we can venture out to.
If you’re unfamiliar with Protest then you’ll find that they combine fashion with sport. They have clothing and swimwear as well as lots of sportswear for skiing and surfing – for adults and children.
They’re also bang on with key trends this summer with an emphasis on florals, big pockets, broderie anglaise, palm prints and neon colours.
Last month I was sent a couple of gorgeous pieces from the Protest spring and summer range. If you want to see their amazing swimwear collection, then keep reading….
I was instantly drawn to this pretty Unna floral dress that comes in red and black. I can see me getting a lot of wear out of this easy wear dress which has a belt to tie around the waist and is cut slightly longer across the back. It’s one to dress up or down and will keep you lovely and cool.
I love the A line cut and the fact that it’s nice and roomy but you can achieve a more fitted look by adjusting the tie around the waist.
It’s all about this co-ords this season and you can mix and match items to where together or with other items.
I chose the same pattern as the dress with this cotton blouse, but this time in black. Again this top comes in the red or black and is part of their co-ord collection and can be matched with shorts to look like a playsuit, or it can be worn with other pieces, like I’ve done here.
It’s a good transitional piece between Spring and Summer. It’s ideal teamed with jeans and boots for when it’s cooler and then with shorts, a skirt or perhaps some wide leg trousers when it’s warmer.
Now their swimwear has really had me pining for beach days!
My go to swimwear is always the bikini and they have some really pretty designs in gorgeous colours. There really is a style to suit everyone and are bikinis that are definitely practical as well as stylish.
This set has great contrasting colours and I love the criss cross tie and higher waisted bottoms.
I’m a sucker for a pink bikini and this one is definitely pretty in pink with a beautiful floral pattern. The cut out triangle detail makes it more interesting too.
I always usually choose a triangle bikini as I think that they suit me better and I’ll always opt for neon colours where I can. This one has a great pattern and I like the tie detail on the bottoms.
If you like a push up bikini then this one looks fabulous in a monochrome palm print.
They also have a great range of men’s swimwear and clothing and the board shorts are my favourite style and patterns.
We many not still be able to go on holiday or take a trip to the seaside, but there is no reason that you can’t take full advantage of some new pieces in your garden or when out taking some daily exercise.
