Something for our girl

Slowly but surely we are collecting essentials for the baby and some shall we say, non essentials. Sometimes you just have to go with what you love. These days I’m always conscious about not wasting money (as most of us are) but I’m also a big believer in not denying yourself some little luxuries and buying things that make your heart happy.

Now something pretty for my home, is always going to make me happy. My husband most certainly doesn’t agree with this approach but over the years has learnt that the little touches around the home (prettifying) and general styling of rooms in our home is most definitely my domain. So as long as I don’t try and involve him in a big discussion on such issues, then he’s usually more than happy for me to go ahead and get the things that I want. Our floral lounge and bedroom curtains are somewhat of a victory for me – if I can have those then there would appear to be no limit.

So on a floral theme, I instantly fell in love with this set of three children’s La Petite Rose Cases from dotcomgiftshop.  I love that they are retro and also that they have a pretty pattern. What’s not to love for a girl?

When they arrived they were a little more dinky than I’d imagined from the pictures on the website, however it doesn’t take away from their charm and they are for children after all.

I thought that these would make a lovely addition to her bedroom one day and will be able to hold her bits and pieces. For now they are acting as handy suitcases to keep small items that she will need. I’m sure that one day she will have lots of little treasures to fill them with herself.
