Polaroid Pop Review

Photography these days has changed massively since the days of point and shoot cameras that held a film that needed processing at the shop – with typically a week long wait until you saw what you had captured!

Nowadays everything is digital for most of us and we see the image of what we’ve taken on the screen of our camera or phone. We have the luxury of either viewing our photos digitally or we can print them off with our own printer, one in a shop or we can order them online to be delivered.

It’s so much simpler…but what about if you want the photos printed instantly? Without the faff of connecting to a printer or placing an order online? This is where Polaroid’s remain timeless and the Polaroid Pop steps up.

I’ve always loved the idea of Polaroid’s and how they give you access to your photos in minutes. They’re fun, easy to use and you have the satisfaction of having your prints right away.

What does it do?

Not only does it take 20 megapixel photos (with a flash) but it creates gifs and records 1080p full HD videos as well. You can also draw on your snaps, add text, borders, filters and stickers.

The Pop charges with a USB cable, so it’s simple to keep it powered for when you next use it. It comes with some zinc paper that is sized at 3.5 x 4.25 and prints out in full colour.

Make those memories come alive

I’m forever filling up the memory on my phone with endless photos, but I rarely print them off. As I take so many, it would become ridiculous if I were to print them all, but I must remember to make more of an effort to print our memories as they happen.

The kids love the fact they can have their photo taken and get the photo right away, so I love the fact that it’s a really great way of hanging out with them and laughing at our results. It’s a bit like a Photo Booth in your hand!

What better way to get the most fun out of the Polaroid Pop than to use it to take selfies!

The camera will be really fun to use with friends and family and it’s especially good for kids parties, where the children can go home with a special photo each.

What did we think of it?

We love the fun concept of this camera. It’s great for getting creative and it was funny making gifs and having the option to add stickers to the pictures, like you do on social media platforms.

It’s definitely going to be used over Christmas and I think we might have to go all out and get the festive props out!

Nb. I was sent the Polaroid Pop for the purpose of this review, but all views and opinions remain my own.
