Now that our little lady is nearly four months old, she’s edging closer to the transition into her big cot from the crib by our bed. This is a stage that I found difficult with both boys and I know I’ll be no different this time, in fact I think I’ll be worse! However, it’s inevitable and of course my focus has changed to getting her room ready for her. Her changing mat sits across her cot, so we’ve been making use of the top of it since she was born and gradually we have been adding bits and pieces to complete her little space in our home.
Her first baby blanket which she still uses every day was from My 1st Years and we love it, so it was lovely to be able to add some more gorgeous pieces from their collection to her things. I discovered this company when they launched and it’s great to see how much their site has grown and how much choice they now have. They offer a fantastic service, with beautiful packaging and super quick delivery. A lot of their items can be personalised and yet the delivery is still really quick.
I was keen to add some items that would compliment her room but at the same time be useful. Storage is always an important factor but it’s not always easy to find solutions that don’t involve plastic boxes. So when I saw the Pink Bows Storage Bag I knew it would be perfect for storing a variety of things, from toys to even laundry.
As with most items there was the option to personalise the bag and I decided to do so. It’s a really generous size and made with soft quilted cotton with pretty bows and has handy handles to carry around if needs be. As expected, it came packaged in one of their complimentary custom gift boxes wrapped in tissue paper which I think sets them apart. I’m a sucker for lovely packaging and whether it’s to be given as a gift or not, it’s still a great way to present items that have been lovingly chosen.
I adore this pink chair that is simply cute and diddy for little people. It is personalised with her name across the top and I think this makes a beautiful keepsake for her throughout her childhood. It’s a girly thing and my boys wouldn’t have appreciated little pieces like this. At least I hope she will love it as much as I do.
I’ve really enjoyed getting her room organised and adding some lovely pretty items. The chest of drawers is definitely another ‘painting’ project for me to complete at some point, as I would like this to match the cot and be colour coordinated. Finally I want a marquee light up letter with her first initial which I think will complete her little room. At least until I find more lovely additions!
Nb. I was sent the storage bag and chair for the purpose of this review but all views and opinions are entirely my own. The personalisation parts have been obscured simply as I don’t use my little girls name on the blog.
What a beautiful room. We loved My 1st Years and were sent a beautiful Dressing gown. Daisy still wears it now although it really doesn’t fit. She just loves the fact it has her name on it. That little pink chair is so gorgeous x
