Retro sweets is the topic of Kate’s Listography this week, I think we all still get excited when we spot sweets from our childhood and although I find most really sweet now, I still love to buy them when I see them.
Here are my 5 picks…
I remember getting dip dabs (although in my memory it’s dib dabs!) at my local newsagent along with the sherbet tubes with liquorice, which I hate so that part got thrown!
These two bars bring back loads of memories of Secondary cheap cialis with prescription School, when we had a tuck shop, the shop closed in the first couple of years of being there, but I still have lots of fond memories of queuing up with everyone.
Cola cubes you could make last forever and then they were all chewy in the centre…
I used to always buy fizzy strawberry laces in Woolworths when in my local town, they were pretty sour at first but I still loved them!
Check out everyone else’s sweets at Kate Takes 5:
I remember Dib Dabs being very messy!
Great selection. This listography is bringing back so many school memories for me x
Cola Cubes rock! xxx
I so nearly had cola cubes – but they always hurt my mouth!
Yummy love laces
Ooooh! A Wham bar!!! Now where can I get one of those on a Monday afternoon? Great choices.
I have just commented on someone elses about Sherbet Dip Dabs but I think I got confused as I was thinking of the ones with the yellow long sweet in the middle and 2 sachets on either side with different flavoured sherbet in, but cant remember what they were called now! Had forgotten about cola cubes as well, do you remember pineapple cubes, mmmm.
Ha, I rang an old friend and she remembered what they were http://www.bestbritishsweets.co.uk/retro-sweets/swizzles-matlow-double-dip-sherbet-sweets.html known as Swizzles Matlow Double Dip Sherbet sweets. I am convinced when you see the picture you will remember them x
Oh wow Wham bars! Brilliant! I was always slightly paranoid I'd lose my teeth while eating them, but they were so yum! 🙂
it's dib dabs to me too. Always will be.
Oh Wham bars! I had forgotten about those! I loved them 🙂
