Pure tasting tap water with Zero Water

If you live in a hard water area like we do, then you’ll know what it’s like to drink the water from the tap.

I must admit that I am somewhat used to it now but my husband won’t drink the water unless it has some cordial added to it. It tastes fine to me but I always notice the funny taste to it once it’s been sat for a while or particularly in the morning when it’s been sat by my bedside all night.

We used water filters before but for some reason we haven’t owned one for a few years. So when I received this Zero Water 12-cup filter jug to try out, I thought it would be great to have some filtered water again, simply for drinking with.

It’s the only brand that removes 99.6% of all dissolved solids in tap water. Which is basically the same as you’d get with bottled water and it actually tastes like you’re drinking bottled water too.

The size of ths jug is perfect for our family of five but the only downside has been finding the room in the fridge. You can get smaller ones to slot into the door of the fridge, but I feel that they don’t hold enough water. This holds enough for everyone to have a large glass of water without having to refill in between. I had to move things around a little bit inside the fridge to accommodate it, but I simply couldn’t not have our filtered water cold! It would work much better with a larger fridge for sure.

What does make it handy though is the fact it comes with a pour button spout. This has been really useful for filling up the kids water bottles before school and it also means that I don’t have to lift the jug out to do this.

So why try this water filter?

ZeroWater benefits from a patented, 5-stage Ion Exchange Filtration system which removes virtually all dissolved solids from your water. Lots of other brands do not have the same system. If you’re worried about all of the nasties that might be lurking in tap water, then you might be interested to know that it reduces 99% of all Fluoride and Nitrates from the water. It is NSF Certified to reduce lead, removes 99.6% of all dissolved solids and is the purest tasting drinking water.

What do we think of Zero Water?

We’ve loved having cold refreshing water available straight from the fridge and it’s been really noticeable that the horrible taste has now gone. It’s even encouraging the kids to drink more water and we have piece of mind that the water we’re consuming is of a really good quality – so we’re converted.
