A few weeks ago the lovely people at The Nursery Paint Company supplied us with some beautiful paint in which to transform our boys room. I previously wrote a post on this fantastic company who provide 100% Safe, Pure & Natural Nursery Paint after being impressed by their products at The Baby Show for Trade last year. As they knew that we are soon to be welcoming our second son and needed to makeover Beastie’s room to accommodate two boys, they provided us with the colours of our choice. Not only are they a great new company but they are very generous too.
After much deliberation we eventually decided on a feature wall to be painted with Once Upon a Time (1 litre tin) and then the surrounding walls to be painted with Ga Ga Grey (2.5 litre tin). We wanted the colours to be completely different to the blue and yellow that we originally painted for Beastie’s nursery. These new colours we felt were fresh and not too overpowering for the room. Perfect for both a toddler boy and a newborn boy.
Since we painted the room there are now even more colours to choose from since The Nursery Paint Company collaborated with Olive Loves Rosie to inject some brighter colours. They offer a wide range of vibrant colours to brighten up your little one’s room with a more contemporary feel. Definitely worth a look.
For all the walls we applied a couple of coats of paint and the tins provided were more than big enough to cover the areas needed throughout the room. We even had enough spare paint from the feature wall to give the existing shelves a new lease of life as well as complimenting the new colour scheme.
To be in keeping with the simple, clean feel of the new nursery we designed some simple prints in preparation for the soon to be shared bedroom of two little brothers. We hope they will like sharing.
We can’t thank the fantastic people from The Nursery Paint Company enough and we hope that they are as pleased with the makeover as we are!
Nb. The paint was provided by The Nursery Paint Company for the purpose of a makeover but all views and opinions are entirely our own.
ahh the room looks great – the colours are lovely. I love the artwork too…can’t wait to see the room complete with 2 little sleeping boys in it too!!

Oooh, I’m loving the new nursery. It looks like a proper boys ‘pad’ and it’s lovely to give it a fresh decor before it starts it’s new job as a room for two.
Little Man’s bedroom is yellow and white and pale blue, which we decorated before he came along so it had to be gender neutral. We’ve since made it more boyish with some blue and red accessories. Part of me would love to redecorate it before Splodge joins us, but as Splodge will be another surprise I wouldn’t know how to decorate it. And at least with our current colour scheme we could just make one side of the room more boyish and one more girly if that’s what’s needed, or leave it the same if it’s another boy.
Although I’m keeping my fingers crossed that we’ll be moving early next year so I’ll have two kiddy bedrooms to decorate!!! Twice the colour schemes to think of and twice the fun. 😉 x
