I was asked by Little Dish to spread the word about the Barnardo’s Big Toddle 2012. They have partnered up with Barnardo’s to raise awareness about the ‘mini’ sponsored walk for children. It is in it’s 16th year and attracts over half a million children each year.
Barnardo’s is a charity whose projects transform the lives of vulnerable children and young people across the country. I think it’s a great idea to get kids involved with charity projects when they are still young and the Barnardo’s Big Toddle is the UK’s biggest fund raising event for under 5’s. The idea is to organise your own walk or join an organised toddle and just have fun, the walk can be as long or short as you want it to be.
The theme this year is Superheroes. Now what little one doesn’t want to dress up as their favourite character to save the day?
If you would like to get involved and organise your own sponsored toddle then Little Dish are giving out 10 starter kits. The kits include more detailed information about the Big Toddle, two day menu’s to suggest activities for your toddlers as well as balloons and stickers.
