I may have mentioned it before, but I do rather love a new coat. I’d have a couple every winter if I could, one that’s really practical (for wet and windy school runs) and one that is a little bit more dressy.
I treated myself to a teddy coat this year but I also wanted something else that was a little bit smarter like this classic wool blend Monsoon coat from JD Williams.
I love the forest green shade as it’s not normally a colour that I’d choose, so it makes a nice change. It’s also a lovely winter shade that is a little more exciting than black or grey!
It’s easy to wear with the two buttons to fasten at the front and it has the all important pockets too.
Not only is this coat dressy but it looks just as good teamed with boots or trainers and a pair of jeans.
This is a classic style that will last for years and compliments so many pieces that I already have in my wardrobe. It’s hard to find something that it doesn’t go with.
The length is really good for keeping out the chill and especially so if you’re wearing a dress or skirt.
Being wool, it is super warm and the fitted style means that I feel really wrapped up in it too. Classic chic and it definitely feels a little festive too.
Nb. I was kindly sent this coat from JD Williams for the purpose of this review, but all views and opinions remain entirely my own.
