Sunshine ready with Femme Luxe

by Hannah

It feels like summer has been a long time coming and even though today might have been grey, it’s looking promising for the coming weeks. I’ve just celebrated my birthday and sadly it was sunny the days before it but not on the actual day! Still warmer weather is surely on the way.

We had planned to go out for lunch and seeing as it was a special occasion, I thought it would be nice to dress up a little bit more and embrace the summer too. These pink shorts are a really pretty pastel shade and go really well with a simple black cami top. I’ve mentioned before that I love to wear Co-Ords as they’re so versatile. I know that I’ll get loads of wear out of these shorts this summer. Pale pink looks great with black white and tan/brown and even better with a bit of colour too – be it suntan or fake tan.

I’ve styled the outfit with wedges which I think are fab for being comfortable but also lengthening your legs when wearing shorts. I’m not a massive shorts fan but the right style and choice of shoes can really make a difference – and of course make me feel more confident too.

I have chosen to wear a cami top tucked into the shorts but a cropped or Milkmaid Top would go really well with these smart/casual shorts.

Floral print dresses are most definitely for when summer arrives. This body con dress has such a pretty delicate pattern with purples and oranges. It’s a dress that stands out but isn’t bold. I’ve changed my mind about body con dresses since I’ve been converted to liking a Body Con Midi Dress from a couple of my previous orders from Femme Luxe. Once again the wedges made my legs suit the dress more and they’re certainly my go to summer shoes, that go with most outfits dressy or casual.

Here’s hoping for the next heatwave, where I won’t have to pull on my Grey Loungewear again, much as I love wearing it, I’d rather that it was later in the year…
