Getting out the legs with Femme Luxe

Well the warm weather means that the legs come out. There never seems to be a good time to expose my white legs to the world after months of cold and wet weather and living in for the most part Grey Loungewear, but when it’s so hot that trousers are simply not comfortable to wear, then skirts are the way forward and out come the legs – even more so if there are places to go.

I do love to wear dresses throughout the summer but if I find a style of skirt that I think suits me and goes with lots of tops, then they can often be easier to wear. Of course they’re more versatile too because you can mix and match your clothes for more outfits and they’re essentially Co-Ords.

This tan skirt is like a tan coloured handbag – it will go with almost anything. The A line cut and pleats give it a more dressy look but it can also be worn more casually. It’s a style that will easily see you through to the colder months too when you can slip on a pair of tights and boots and throw on a leather biker jacket to keep you warmer.

I opted for a black faux leather version of the tan skirt, as I do love faux leather. Again it’s the same pleated style but it fits slightly differently to the tan one, as the material is of course not the same. I’ve teamed the black with a Milkmaid Top that can also be worn off the shoulder too. So it’s a look that you can change depending on what kind of style you’re aiming for. If you don’t want your midriff showing too much then this top can be worn with high waisted trousers, which will highlight your waist without having to flash the flesh! Again, it all depends on where you’re going and what you feel comfortable wearing.

I can often be on the fence when it comes to wearing it, but sometimes you just have to be brave and go for the bold colour, rather than opting for safer more muted shades. Now that the legs are out, it can be mini or Body Con Midi Dresses but I’m loving the vibrant shade of this red body con dress.
