Have you ever had your eye on something that you’ve always wanted to get, but never seem to find the right one for you?
This is exactly how I felt about owning a sequin dress. It must be the time for getting those essential items that I’ve always longed for, like the addition of my cashmere jumper to my wardrobe.
It’s an item that I’ve wanted for years and as soon as they start cropping up everywhere in the shops, I always look for the ‘one’.
I’ve seen a few in the past and then I’ve ended up not buying them because I haven’t had anywhere in particular to wear them. Then when I did have somewhere to wear one, I then typically couldn’t find one!
I’ve often found that lots of styles are tight fitting and a little garish and as a result, would end up being something that I wouldn’t wear very much, if at all. So when I saw this black and gold Monsoon dress from Fashion World, I was instantly drawn to it. This style is cut beautifully and is super flattering to wear and it feels really great on.
It features hand-placed beads and sequins with a slip lining and fastens at the back with a zip.
The V shape at the back makes the simple shift dress style a little more elegant. I always love dresses and tops that have a more unusual shape at the back, rather than always the front.
How perfect would this be to wear to a cocktail party?
I love the black and gold contrast and the detail of the beading and sequins really makes the dress in my opinion.
The is a timeless piece that I will treasure in my wardrobe and is a classic dress that I will simply love getting out on special occasions.
