The colours that Autumn brings just makes it the loveliest time of the year for taking photos. These woods are really local to us and it’s somewhere that we love to take the children and to kill two birds with one stone so to speak, we took some photos of everyone while we were up there. The boys were playing and despite a mischievous toddler, everyone was happy.
I mainly wanted to do a little shoot focused around my new leopard print boots. I know that they’ve been really popular and sought after across Instagram and in some instances have been really hard to track down. I was quite lucky and managed to snap up one of the last pairs in my size at my local Primark. They cost £12, are stylish, really comfy and even though they have a heel, they don’t really feel like they do! They tick all of the boxes and if they fall apart before next year, then it really doesn’t matter for what they cost. I’ve only worn them a couple of times so I’m yet to judge how well they will wear but you just never know with Primark. I once had a pair of sandals that looked far more expensive than they were and they lasted much longer than some considerably more expensive ones I’ve had. You get what you pay for, but sometimes it just pays off and that’s always money well spent.
This whole outfit here is from Primark.

This is a more casual look and much warmer too! I had been looking everywhere for a furry gilet, very similar to my daughters one, but couldn’t find one and certainly not at a price that I was willing to pay. Then I came across this black one, which is also fully lined with faux fur. They also came in brown but I find black much more versatile for me. The cable knit jumper is a gorgeous mustard shade and also fairly soft. I can’t bear jumpers that are remotely scratchy and this one doesn’t bother me in the slightest. They had a few other shades, so I think I might have to grab another at some point.

Here I’ve just added some older pieces to create a different look. I’ve had this tan leather jacket for several years now and I still love it. I’m not a massive scarf fan, mainly because I hate things right up around my neck. Roll neck jumpers drive me crazy! This scarf however, is a firm favourite and goes with quite a few things. This was from Primark a few seasons ago and I’ve not found another since that I like as much. The blouse however is new and it features little black birds and was also from Primark.

After these photos, I’ve definitely decided that I need some more dresses and skirts as these boots are perfect for wearing with tights. I teamed them with this little black dress from H&M from a few years back (old again I’m sorry!) but I know they they often still do these type of simple tunic type dresses in store. This combo is a little too black for my liking so I need to perhaps get a leather look skirt to wear with tights and a lighter coloured top.
Lastly, we mixed it up a little with the gilet, which I think works really well being dressed up or down.
