GetGo® Owl Play Tent

After years of living in a flat with only a balcony as our outdoor space, it’s still quite a novelty to have a garden and one that’s pretty big too.

We already had a collection of outdoor toys but we didn’t have any equipment for being out in the sun so it’s been great buying some loungers, bean bags and a parasol – should summer ever arrive!

All kids seem to love creating little dens and we do actually have a real den amongst some bushes at the back of the garden. However a pop up den is really handy to put out in the garden (and indoors) when it’s sunny to provide some shade and of course have a hidey hole.

The GetGo® Űgo Owl Play Tent is ideal because it has a twist mechanism to open and close it. We currently have a pop up tent designed to provide shade in the sun when going to the beach or similar. The downside of this tent is that it’s a nightmare to fold up again, it’s one of those that you have to twist and contort until it fits back into its tiny bag. I find this near impossible and extremely irritating.

The twist action on this tent makes it fold down like an umbrella and then it can be stored in a handy carry bag for storage and transportation. It’s so easy, it means that the boys can put it up and down as they choose and they have no excuses for not packing it away either.

We love the tent as it’s so vibrant and the porthole hatches make it more fun. It’s designed for age 2 upwards but as you can see, it’s not stopped my 6 year old from crawling in. I think the boys will love introducing it to their baby sister one day and she will probably take ownership.
