My blog has been rather quiet these past few weeks. Christmas was a busy time and then we made it even busier by moving home in between Christmas and New Year!
We still have a lot of settling in to do but one main priority was to get the children’s bedrooms set up for them straight away, so that they felt at home and as comfortable as possible.
Georgie had some pieces to go in her room from Christmas and things that I had collected along the way. I’ve been so looking forward to putting her room together and now we’ve finally been able to do just that and it’s lovely seeing all of her little things in one place.
I don’t know about Georgie herself yet, but I love getting anything that has unicorns on for her. That and rainbows. Her collection is growing by the day and I have to stop myself from just buying random things that she doesn’t need, just because they feature one or the other, or both!
So when I was offered some bedding for her room, then it was of course just too much to be able to resist a pattern of rainbows, unicorns and fairies. What more could a little girl want? or her mum?!
As she is still in her cot bed, (long may that last) I decided to opt for a quilted throw that can be used now and then eventually on a single bed, when she is big enough to have one. At the moment she has a little play picnic hamper, so it’s been perfect as a picnic blanket for both her and her brothers to use on the bedroom floor, who perhaps love her kitchen even more than she does…
I love that this throw is reversible, so hopefully it will stay in favour for when she is a bit bigger and might enjoy changing her room a little bit. It’s also fully machine washable and can be thrown in the tumble dryer too, so it’s easy to keeping it looking nice.
Her room is quite a generous sized room with lots of floor space as well as ample room for toys and her new play kitchen. It’s become the room where they all play and also a place where Georgie can spend a little time just pottering about doing her own thing.
The little girl that had this room before Georgie, had this lovely Tinkerbell scene and I asked if they could leave it up. I think it’s sweet over her cot and adds that little bit of magic for a girls bedroom.
I can’t wait to add some more touches to her room in the coming months.
Nb. I was sent the quilt for the purpose of the review but all views and opinions are my own.
What a super looking room! We are big fans of unicorns and rainbows too xx
Oh thank you, her room is starting to come together 🙂 I hope my little girl loves them as much as me! xx

I have been eyeing this up for a while. The youngest two want to share a room and have a rainbow theme…they adore unicorns too xx
Oh I would have so much fun doing that for them. Make sure you do a post if you decide to go with that theme, I’d love to see it xx
