By far the prettiest candle

by Hannah

I love candles and I think most women enjoy a bit of candle light here and there! I know people that are quite obsessive with candles but I wouldn’t go that far myself. The main reasons being I don’t have a lot of surface areas that are suitable for candles and also most spots that might be suitable are within reach of little fingers.

What really sells a candle to me though is whether it is scented and whether it will fill the room with a gorgeous smell. Provide me with a pretty colour changing candle (in glass) with Mulled Wine and Cinnamon Apple fragrance and I will agree to try it out. This time of the year brings with it all the lovely Christmassy smells and as the winter sets it I welcome all these homely, comforting smells. I love low lighting in our home and I am not a fan of having the ‘big’ lights on at all, I put them on only when necessary. Lamps placed around the room creates a much cosier atmosphere. I am always very put off when I visit people’s homes and you have to sit there chatting away with the ceiling light blaring down on you, but then that’s me.

So I introduce the Innovative NEW Air Wick Touch of Luxury colour change candles that create the perfect atmosphere…

The range has several fragrances with a gentle colour change lighting effect and the candle stimulates two senses at the same time.  It is infused with fragranced oils that smell wonderful when lit, the burning candle releases a tranquil glow through the wax creating an ambience with soft rainbow colours to create the perfect mood. The glow is triggered via a heat sensitive light sensor which is activated whenever the candle is lit and continues until the candle is blown out, allowing you complete control over when and where you create your special atmosphere.

I have had the candle burning for about 4 evenings now, obviously distinguishing before bedtime, and there is about two thirds of the candle left. It states that it last for 28 hours so this is a reasonable amount of time and if you were to get it to impress your Christmas guests then it would hold out until they have most probably gone home! Once the candle is lit, it changes colours intermittently and looks very pretty and if you have a child like mine, will will capture their attention for a good while. The importance of ‘don’t touch it’s hot’, could not be emphasised enough. The alluring lights only make it more important to keep out of reach or only to be used after bedtimes.

As ours will not see us through until Christmas, I will definitely be buying another one. I could put it away to use but then where’s the fun in that? Autumn/winter nights are what candles like this are for.

Air Wick’s new colour change candle is part of the Touch of Luxury range which also includes additional candles, automatic and instant sprays as well as plug-ins, all of which add that extra touch of daily luxury and indulgence to your home.

I am a massive candle fan- I have millions but for some reason don’t tend to light them cause I don’t want to waste them. This one is quite good as it is cheap enough to use and buy again! Great review- I shall definitely be buying one next time I go to the supermarket. x

you would definitely be ok to come to our house then, husband hates having the big light on and would happily sit in darkness all night!
Now I must go & light my candle to get rid of that dinnery smell!
