If you ask most women what they enjoy buying and the vast majority will say that they love shoes. I’ve said it before on here that I like shoes but I’m not one of these to have a love affair with them. If they look pretty, then it’s sods law that I probably can’t walk in them. For me it’s either bags or coats.
A new coat every winter always used to be a must and come autumn time, I loved looking at the new stock arriving in the shops. I still do now but I’m always conscious of how much I’m spending and would much rather that any spare money available goes on buying the boys something new to wear and more importantly, keep them warm!
However, on that note, I can tell you that I have had a new coat this year but with getting that ‘essential’ item always makes me avoid getting something else that is very much wanted but I wouldn’t class as essential *damn*. That item is a gilet. It’s one of those cosy pieces of clothing that can be more practical when out and about. I don’t usually like being too wrapped up and when I wear a coat, I don’t tend to wear jumpers underneath. I’m not really a long sleeved type of person but I make an exception wearing one under a gilet – as long as my torso is warm then I’m usually comfortable. Add a furry massive (think South Park) hood and I’m happy.
So here it is. The photo would have you believe it is another colour but it’s actually navy with a red collar and around the tops of the arms. It’s perfect for the school run when it’s not absolutely pouring with rain and I know I will get lots of use out of it in the years to come. This one looks built to last…
Nb. I was able to receive my lovely new gilet through Bespoke Offers for the purpose of this review. All views and opinions are entirely my own.
