An outfit for a girl with brothers

We’re at that funny time of the year where it’s still summer but things are beginning to get wrapped up for Autumn arriving. I’ve always hated the fact that you might not have yet had your summer holiday but the shops are already clearing out all of the summer clothes, making way for clothes designed for colder months. You blink and the summer has gone but that doesn’t mean that you have to embrace the autumnal shades and jumpers just yet.

Some days though we do need jackets on even though it’s August, so it’s nice to have a wardrobe that sits somewhere in between the seasons.

Georgie will be turning two in a few days time and now she’s getting that little bit older, I’m finding out what styles suit her and what styles don’t.

She’s most definitely a little girl into all things ‘girly’. She likes having her toes painted, walking around in pretty sandals and having her hair done but she’s also pretty tough and keen to be one of the lads.

This particular outfit combo is my absolute favourite for her at the moment…

  1. Sister Tee | Selfish Mother  2. Glitter Plimsolls | River Island  3. Denim jacket | Next  4. Pink jeans – Esprit

A slogan tee is very cool right now and she would be able to pair this up with jeans as well as skirts.

If you’re going to wear plimsolls then I think that a bit of sparkle is a must – I know that I like to wear sparkly ones and if I can get away with it, a two year old definitely can.

I love a little denim jacket as they are classic no matter what age you are!

As we approach winter she will start to wear lots of tights but I think she will start to get a lot of wear out of skinny jeans too now that she’s so active. I’m a big fan of skinny jeans on all of my kids and I especially love bright colours too. I really like the colour of these pink jeans that you can find here.

Perhaps I should mention that I would totally wear this outfit myself. There may well be some twinning going on…
