New summer range for #nextkids

Last week we were kindly invited to the Next Head Office to see their new kids summer range before it hits the shops. As always the lovely people at Next looked after us and our screaming kids extremely well and once again put on a fantastic event that is great to be part of.

I’m always keen to have a look at what is soon to be coming out. I love my boys in Next clothes and I would say that 90% of their clothes comprise of Next! The fit is fantastic, the quality always high and more and more they are getting the trends spot on. The range in a nutshell…

‘Pack up your parasol for a trip to the beach – Hide Hi is a nautical inspired trend for girls with a retro spin. Quirky polka dots and ice cream prints on tea dresses, mixed with vintage style pinafores gives this story a statement look. Girl’s will love the Mamma Mia inspired trend Blue bird. Laundered cotton summer dresses and floaty silhouettes have a distinct folksy feel. Boys can hit the surf too with Beach Brights, a fun summer collection with fluro flashes. Sports bomber jackets are worn over conversational tee’s and neon printed shorts. Pastel smart has a 50’s vibe, think chino shorts and polo shirts worn in a variety of sorbet colours’.

Straight away I saw sections of clothes that the boys would look great in. I particularly love fluro colours for summertime coupled with denim. They have some great jeans for boys of all ages in a variety of denim washes. I’m really taken with the stonewash for my boys and the braces combined with the jeans also looks quite funky, maybe for Baby Beastie.

I like children dressed in bright clothes and fluro and bright primary colours rather than muted tones suit my boys much better. We don’t like drab…without some colour added!

I think we’ll hold off shopping for some new outfits until this range lands in the shops. This will be in about a months time and we are defintely spoilt for choice…again.

Here are my top picks for boys:

The girls range was equally as bright in parts. I loved the floral jumpsuits and summer dresses featuring boats and butterflies. Simply adorable. There is plenty in this range to suit your little fashionista. I would have liked some of these clothes in adult sizes!

Here are my top picks for girls:

Beastie would live in camouflage shorts if he could and Baby Beastie looks great in coloured skinny jeans and my favourite being the bleached ones with the coloured studs and button.

As a special treat, the kids also got to make pizza for the their lunch at a local Italian restaurant and you can see Beastie tucking into his here…

Nb. For attending the event we were provided with travel expenses for the day, lunch, a gift card and goodie bags for the boys.
