A little room goal inspiration

One of my favourite things to do from time to time is to dream about what I would have in my own home, if money were no object. It’s like when you fantasise about winning the lottery and you go a little crazy thinking about what you would actually spend the money on.

Our home is pretty lovely as it is but I always like to make inspiration boards and make tweaks here and there. I’m not one for keeping the same decor for years and years and think it does you good to have a freshen up and change of scene.

We have a big kitchen, but the kitchen of my dreams would have a large island in the centre, complete with bar stools overlooking bifolding doors to the garden and patio area.

Our bedroom would be more minimal than it is and would focus more on plain white with some colours added, nice and simple for that place to go and just rest in. I love these fairy lights, we currently have some draped over our headboard but these make a great feature and are easily changeable.

I have also always loved the idea of having bricks like you see typically in apartments in New York. It’s a feature wall in itself but it adds great warmth to the room and feels really cosy to me. Once again, simple accessorising all the way.

I would also have a much larger en-suite with a bath and a walk in shower like the ones here. I love that this has a little seat in it too.

At the moment I have a desk in the kitchen, which is plenty big enough to house it. However, If there was a spare room, I’d have a separate little oasis just for me. It would be a room that I could work in but also use as a place to put up my feet and grab a book and a cuppa – in peace.

The room goals will always be ongoing but these are just a few of mine at the moment.
